Surgical Services

Desexing
Our desexing procedures are aimed at offering your pet a quick and safe recovery with minimum discomfort.

Dental
We offer a range of dental treatments from general cleans, scales and polishes to extractions and surgery.

Soft Tissue
Our skilled veterinarians can perform lump removals, abscess lancing and drainage, wound suturing and more.

Exploratory Laparotomy
To determine the cause of abdominal issues.

Prior to Admission
- Remove pet's food from 10pm (unless directed otherwise).
- You can still offer their water bowl prior to admission.
- Continue with any regular medications as normal.
- Bathe you dog on the day prior to reduce risk of infection.

Post Surgery Care
- Keep their E-collar on during recovery (if wearing when discharged).
- They may be a bit off colour, but if they are seeking food, offer a small amount of soft food for easy digestion (unless instructed otherwise).
- Ensure plenty of fresh water is available.
- Keep the wound clean and dry and avoid getting it wet (no baths or swimming).
- Attend a post-operative check up (generally 10-14 days post-surgery).
- Contact the clinic immediately if you have any concerns.
